Description:
Residential
Type: Summer Camp for Girls
Staff: Seeking female staff
Camp
Runoia is a traditional, private, resident camp for
girls ages 8 - 15 located on Great Pond in the beautiful
Belgrade Lakes region of Maine.
The
camp season begins for staff June 20, 2007. It consists
of one week of training and seven weeks of camp ending
August 19th. Tradition is a big part of life at Runoia,
and the Blue-White competition is almost as old as
Runoia itself. Though the competition is keen, good
sportsmanship is the top priority.
Positions
are residential providing room, board and laundry.
The majority of our camp staff are counselors. They
teach an activity and live in a cabin with campers.
Candidates should be caring, enthusiastic, and have
a genuine concern for children.
We know that there are a lot of great summer camps
that are looking for equally great staff each summer.
As an exceptional camp, we are looking for exceptional
staff and we hope that if you are looking to work
hard and have a summer adventure like no other that
you will put Runoia first!
Staff
Camp Runoia is currently seeking staff for the 2007
season. If you are looking for a stimulating and rewarding
experience where you can make a difference, be a role
model and be a part of a diverse and caring community
then this is the place for you!
Staff
must have graduated from high school and ideally finished
at least their first year of college by June 2007.)
There are also limited openings for kitchen positions.

Jobs
Every camp has a their own way of matching campers
with all of the different activity options available,
and Runoia's system is called tag up.
Every
activity day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and the weekend)
camper will go to the lodge after breakfast where
they will have the chance to sign up for three out
of four activity periods, this is what we call tag
up. The other activity period is called majors, where
campers choose one activity they participate in for
